Zion Baptist Church
offers a wide range of ministries for the youth to participate
in. Listed below is the listing of ministries available. For

Youth Ministries and Programs
The young sisters in
the praise dance ministry use their gifts of dance to express
God's Word in Zion and in the community at large. It is open
to school-age girls.
Youth ages 5 and older
study the Word of God, enjoy craft projects and learn from
guest presenters on youth-related issues on Tuesday evening
from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Boy
Scouts and Cub Scouts |
Boy scouting gives boys
an opportunity to serve their communities, explore the outdoors
and have fun while developing important life skills. Our programs
serves youth from age 6 through 18 years old.
Shoot hoops with the
young males in Zion and in the community during basketball
practices and games on Wednesday (15 years and under) and
Thursday's (16 and older).
The Music ministry at Zion is blessed with several choirs for
young people that rehearse every Friday evening. They are:
Cherubs - 2 to 6 years old
Children's Choir - 6 to 12 years old
Youth Choir - youth 13 years and older
Trinity Choir - Combined Cherub, Children and Youth Choirs
The Joseph M DeBerry Inspirational Choir welcomes youth and
post-high school age
During the school year,
computer training is provided through the Zion Community Center.
Daily afternoon weekday
and summer program held in the Community Center during the
school year.

Community children ages
2 1/2 to 5 years old are developed and nurtured in a loving
Christian setting Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to
5:30 p.m.
The scouting ministries
gives girls an opportunity to serve their communities, explore
the outdoors and have fun while developing important life
skills. Our programs serve youth from age 5 through 17 years
old.

Swing a golf club during the summer golf program for Zion and

Young people from 7
years and older serve with humble hospitality during worship
services and programs.

Service Guild Auxiliary |
Youth assist the Women's
Service Guild Auxiliary with childcare during Sunday Service.
Community and Zion young people are paired with trained mentors
and their organizations that share their lives. The "Amachi"
program provides mentors for children of incarcerated parents.
Painted faces, white
gloves and beautiful gestures are the tools God uses when
the mime ministry presents in worship services, programs and
outside of Zion.

Saturday
and Sunday Church School |
All children are invited to learn God's word on Saturday and
Sunday. Saturday church is held in the community center from
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for ages 5 to 15.
Sunday School is held
on Sunday morning 9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Classes are held
in the community center for youth from first grade to senior
high school. Children in kindergarten and below attend in
the main building.
Youth are valuable contributors
in coordinating various aspects of the sound system during
worship services and other programs.
Crafts, trips and Christian
fun are a part of the summer camp-serving children ages 6
through 12 during the summer months of July and August.
This invigorating ministry challenges all youth (and adults)
in athletic competition during the spring months. The track
team celebrates together at the seasons' end.
Tutoring is available during the school year, through the Zion
Community Center.
During one week in August, all ages are invited to understand
God's Word better in daily, evening bible study.
This ministry is centered
in Christ with a focus on young women (8 to 18) leading their
lives in a righteous, respectful and unyielding way with monthly
fellowship the first Saturday of each month. This ministry
celebrates each spring with a mother-daughter tea.
Youth members of the
congregation participate on the council to provide valuable
input into the youth ministry activities.

ZiDraMin
(Zion In-Touch Drama Ministry) |
Youth and adults like
creativity and spiritually express God's Wod through dramatic
presentations, including a powerful annual Passion Week presentation
(during Resurrection Week/Easter). The Sacred Movement and
Angels of Praise praise dance ministries, as well as the mime
ministry present in Zion and in the community at large.

ZOOM
(Zion Overseas Ministry) |
For several years, Zion has experienced an annual global interchange
with the Northholm School in Australia. Every other year, Zion
sends 2 youth delegates (male and female) to travel with a chaperone
for a 5-6 week Australian missionary visit. On the alternating
year, Zion families open their homes to 2 Australians youth
and their chaperone.
